Its second floor was where the band played and the dance floor was shaky back then. When it came to dining, the Le Bec Fin restaurant was a the place to go. It was not a surprise to find this restaurant filled to capacity every single day. Philly residents loved to hang out, whether at a diner, restaurant or bar. In the past, though, many Philly bars were like black holes with alcoholics trying to pick up girls and vice versa. However, if you wanted to have a nice night out, the Alfa Bar would be the place to dress up and go see if you can get hooked up for the night with someone mature, sophisticated and classy. The Sugar Mom Bar and the Bar Noir are like underground date spots that only allowed you a little breathing room. Everyone was in close proximity to each other. It could get really dicey at times. Lucy Bar was the last resort, if you had little money to take on the town on a Saturday night. The music was blaring and loud. Smoking was allowed inside so you could expect to see a room filled with smoke.
